Bridal Lunch!

So my old lady bible study also threw me a bridal lunch on our last meeting of the summer! They have been so supportive of Tyler and I and are all really excited about us getting married. It happened to be the week that Tyler's mom was in town, so she was able to come with me to it! It was so nice!

Missy made this by hand! I told her it looked professional! And it was so yummy!

The food table! :) They fixed a great salad, had some yummy subs, and then the fruit. They also got me a cake because they knew my birthday was this month too! They are awesome!

Yay! Birthday cake too!

And here they all are! The 3 in the back row from left to right are Rex, La Rue, and then Margo (she is our leader). And then going across the front from left to right there is Pastor Peggy, Missy, Me, Dez, and Donna.

This is the summer crew! All of these ladies live here year round. In season when all the snow birds are here...there are probably about 30 of them that come. During the summer it gets a little smaller and now we have decided not to meet for the next upcoming weeks because so many of us were going to be in and out of town for the summer. It has been so fun getting to know these ladies and being able to spend such quality time with them. They are all answers to my prayers!

Tyler's Invasion!

Another thing that has kept me busy is that Tyler has moved here! He made it all safe and sound and this is what my little room looked like after he got here....

Even though he isn't living with me, most of his stuff is! He doesn't have much room where he is and we thought why rent a trailer twice, so he went on and brought everything with him! The nice thing is that I got a bigger bed! ;) I know it needs some fixing up, but it is pretty nice already!

We put it right where the old one was and it actually doesn't take up that much more space. Bear also thinks the bed is for him too. He loves the bigger space. He runs around it in circles each night. We say "Oh, Bear is doing his laps again!" haha....Although he came with a lot of stuff and we had to do some reorganizing, it is so so nice to have him here and actually be able to eat dinner or go places together! We are really enjoying it and having so much fun with each other! :)

Memorial Day Festivities

Well I know it is a little late, but I have been so so busy and just haven't even thought about my blog lately. So I figured what better way to spend my night at the hotel than updating my blog with all my latest activities! I brought my camera cord so I could upload pictures too!

This year for Memorial Day I was really lucky and didn't have to work at DRC, however, I was stuck here at the hotel that night :( It was crazy busy, but I had a fun day with Sarah, Dave, Amelia, and Jen! We went out on Dave's boat, even though the weather looked bad, we were determined to be on the boat for the holiday. You can see the storms in some of the pictures...haha. But we had a blast and really enjoyed the mini vacation!

We had to come back in early because it was so windy and stormy, but as soon as we got back, the sun came out. So we went swimming the nasty canal and had a little party on the boat while it was docked! haha

The damage!

Amelia and I wanted to go swimming so we jumped off the boat...just ignore those black clouds in the background...

Even though the weather didn't cooperate, it was still fun and we had a good time! Since my days off are Tuesday, Wednesday, I had myself a nice long 3 day weekend :)

Tyler is here!

Well for everyone who hasn't heard, Tyler made it to the keys safely last Friday night. Him and his mom came down with the trailer and it has been so nice having him around! It has been difficult finding a place for all of his things, but I think we are finally getting there. I don't have all the pictures because I am currently at work at the hotel, but it has been pretty fun!

He also started his new job right away! He went up to Star Motors (starmotorsautorepair.com) to drop off his tool box and Norman, the owner, told him to come in on Saturday because he already had a job for him! He's been there for a week now and I think he's adjusting to his new place. Tyler doesn't do so well with change so he doesn't like the feeling of not knowing what is going on. But Norman and Ralph (the other mechanic that works there) have been really good about making him feel welcome. It's been pretty slow, but I know as time goes on work will pick up again and he will really feel at home. It is just such a different atmosphere than where he was at Dale Jarrett, it will just take some time getting used to it. But today is Friday, and that means pay day! He got his first paycheck and it was already more than mine, so I think were off to a good start! haha.

We also did some rearranging in my place to make room for the bigger bed. We figured we might as well move as much stuff while we could, so some changes have taken place in my room as well. We had to get rid of the coffee table because there just wasn't enough room, but when I was on the mainland the other day, I bought us a nice set of TV trays to eat off of. The coffee table had become our dinner table so now we have these to eat off of! So nice!

Well sorry I don't have more pictures, that is the only one that would upload to this computer, but I promise I'll try to get in a better routine of updating my blog again. I know I have gotten slack.

Well I hope everyone has a wonderful night. If you ever want to come stay in the keys, I'll be right here!! Miss all of you from back home and really looking forward to coming home for Amy Dowker's wedding!!!!!! so so so exciting!

Well ready or not Tyler is coming!! It is so crazy to think Tyler is moving here on Friday! That's not tomorrow, but the next day! We both are so so excited and him getting the uhaul trailer today really made it sink it that he is coming!!

He is getting really excited about moving to the keys too! I got this picture from him the other day while I was at work saying "I'm ready to move to the keys!" haha...Hes probably going to to kill me for posting this :)

On my days off this week I spent most of my time cleaning out my room and making sure there is enough space for Tyler and all of his things he is bringing down. Even though he won't be sleeping there, he is going to go on and put most of his things there so it's less moving later. I also had to clear a shelf because Jeff is going to take some of this old furniture out and put some new stuff in that is better for 2 people. I also got to go with Catherine down to Key West for her doctor's appointment. She is pregnant with little Violet Joy who is due August 19. I got to see them do the ultrasound and she was so cute in there!! Then today (Wednesday) I spent most of my day watching Bodi, Loriel's little boy who is right at 4 months old. He is so precious!

We had a good day together. :)

More good news is that I got my computer back!!! UPS had to have someone sign for it when it was delivered and not even thinking that I live under some one's house, I ended up making a sign for them so they came to the right door...haha. I ended up not even being at home and they signed for me, so I didn't have to worry about it, but that is something you don't even think about while living under someone else's house. Here is my beautiful sign I made UPS.

BEAR UPDATE: Bear is getting excited about Tyler moving too. We had a talk and I explained to him that Tyler would be here soon and would be staying with him while I went home for Amy's wedding. He said he was excited. He also thinks I am clearing the shelves so he has more space to play...

It is also pretty funny because I found this basket under the sink and I was like "What am I going to do with this?" and then I turned around later and saw this...

haha...I guess he figured since I wasn't going to use it, he would take advantage. He is so cute! Well I will keep everyone posted with Tyler's move and how everything goes. They are leaving "as soon as it turns Friday" according to Tyler, so that means Thursday night and driving through the night. Please continue to pray for Kara on her trip and safe travels for Tyler and his mom!
