Rain Rain Go Away...

For the past 4 days, it has been raining non stop! I just heard on the news that Marathon received 9 in. of rain in the past 4 days. Here are a few pictures of our driveway and street....

The corner right down from our street.

Although everywhere is flooded and it is so hot and muggy out...Trigger is enjoying all the new pools around the neighborhood. When I let him out today, he grabbed his ball and took off into all the puddles and was running around like the happiest dog in the world. It was so cute! However, now its about 3 in the afternoon and it has finally stopped raining! Hopefully the sun will come out and start drying up all this water!

The In-Laws Visit!

So this past week Tyler parents came to visit! We had such a great time showing them around and fishing! In case you haven't seen the news...they came at the perfect time. The day they left, last Saturday, it started raining, and it hasn't stopped since! There is this huge tropical thing sitting by us causing us to have some nasty weather. I have never seen so much rain! And when you work outside all day, the rain gets old reallll quick! But anyway...glad Tyler's parents weren't here when all this rain started....

You can see that huge blob over us here in the Keys...

With Tyler's parents being here all week, we did get a little behind with our house cleaning. Here was our sink a few days ago...

We don't have a dishwasher....I know thats not an excuse, but it was pretty bad! haha

While Tyler's parents were here, they got to come up to DRC and see me in action! I was just about to start a swim when they got there...

We also went fishing almost every night! Now I have always thought fishing was boring, but that because I was used to bass fishing, which isn't as exciting. I had never been fishing down here and now I know why people love to do it so much. When you actually catch something, it makes it all worth while! I got a glimpse at what that would be like when Tyler's dad caught a 30 lb barracuda!!

This thing was huge and had some major teeth! Everyone was so excited about it!!

Here is Tyler and I fishing some more :)

Tyler's parents also got a chance to spend some time with Trigger! We took him to the beach together and he loved it!!

Tyler's mom is one of the best cooks I know! She knows her stuff when it comes to food so we were really looking forward to getting to go out to eat some while they were here too. It was a real treat for Tyler and I since we don't go out very much. Heres a few pictures from when we ate at Lazy Days.

We also got a chance to visit the Turtle Hospital. I've heard such great things about it and I actually had never been before. That was a lot of fun too!

another pictures of us out...this time at the Island!

Finally, we got the chance to go out on our friend Pete's boat and go fishing one night! This was awesome too. Heres a picture of me catching one!

haha...we caught of lot of these snapper and then tyler's dad caught a shark too!

All in all, we had a blast down here with them and can't wait until they can come back!! Thanks for coming to visit us and we miss you already!

Fun Weekend

Tonight I didn't have a softball game because it is our week off so Tyler and I went to the park with Catherine, Mike, and the kids. We had a lot of fun flying princess kites, skipping rocks, digging in the dirt, and kicking the soccer ball around. Here are a few pictures from the night...

Ella showing me the feather she found and putting it in her hair.

Trying to get a picture of all of us, but Ella was too busy pointing out the sunset!
haha...not quite ready. I was trying not to fall off the rocks...

Tyler was so cute with Jack!

skipping rocks...Mike was having to teach everyone.

The girls :) Me and Violet are the only ones looking at the camera! haha

Tyler trying to fly the princess kite! It was harder than I thought.

It was so cute back at this park...it looked like out of a movie!

Jack after playing in the dirt!

Ella, so cute with her kite.

We had a lot of fun with them and are so grateful for such wonderful friends and relationships God has blessed us with! We also took some pictures of our decorations when it was dark!

I am so happy with the way they turned out and the spider web was totally worth it! It looks so great! We even called Sarah to come over and take a look. I also was just a little concerned because I didn't ask Jeff (our land lard) if it was OK, but I talked to him tonight and he said the decorations made him smile each night! Perfect! :)

Other than that, Tyler and I have been pretty calm lately. Were going to make steaks tomorrow night and we spent Wednesday night devoted to our new show we love called "Revenge." It comes on ABC at 10 pm on Wed. nights. It is so good and we have decided to make Wed. nights, "stay at home nights" so we can always catch it! haha...alright well hope everyone is having a wonderful Thursday and good night!

October Fun!

Well today (Tuesday) was my Saturday and I did all my errands like normal, but I made one extra one. I've been meaning to buy this book called "The Help." So I stopped by K-Mart to see if they had it. Kara, Mere, and Amy have all been advising me to read it and if you know me, you know why I haven't read it yet...because I don't like to read! But they promised me I would love it and it was worth it, so I decided to stop and by and grab a copy of it. I must have been in a mood because I ended up buying a second book too. It's called "Heaven is For Real." It is about a little boy who said he went to heaven and back while having emergency surgery...it got really good reviews so I'm hoping its good!

And since I was already there....I decided to just "look" at the Halloween decorations they had. A little background here, I LOVE decorations for any holiday. And I go just a bit crazy with buying them. Now you see why I said "look" because that never happens. So I came across this cute cat place mat first...

I thought it would be perfect for under Bear's bowls.

But I couldn't get Bear one without getting Trigger one...

And of course he had to pose with his bowls because he liked the place mat so much! haha

So anyway...I basically got started last week when I got the package from my parents and they had the window clings in there. Once I put those up...I just wanted to keep going. So here is what I had done before today...

I put orange lights all around the door and onto the fence...

Got this cute Happy Halloween sign to hang on the gate....

And got this adorable skeleton to welcome everyone!

So I got a few more things at K-Mart today, including more lights, and a light-up spider web. Before we move on....just want to make sure everyone is aware of all the materials needed for all of these awesome decorations.

Your going to need a hammer and some nails....

and extension cords! They are a must for 5 star decorations!

So anyway...this light up spider web ended up being much more difficult than I thought. At first I thought I could hang it in the trees somewhere. But once I looked around I realized that would be really hard. So then I tried on the side of the house. Well our house is concrete so that ended up being really hard too. So my last option was the fence. It is a little more hidden than I wanted it to be, but it still looks pretty good! It was also very hard to hang due to the circular shape. When you pull the thing out the box it looks like this...

And with the help of Bear...and about an hour of trying multiple options...I finally got the thing hung on the fence!

So I know it was still light out, but here is what it looks like now! I am so proud! :)

So now we just have to wait until Halloween to see how many trick or treaters we will get! haha

Besides hanging Halloween decorations, I had a great week at work. It flew by, but one day I was scheduled to do enrichment with our dolphins. This just means come up with something fun for them to do without fish. So I decided to get on the surfboard and swim around with the dolphins in the front lagoon! It was so much fun! Santini and Gypsi really love it, but all 8 dolphins were there around me having a blast! They even came out with the underwater camera and took some footage. I had such a great time and it was so good for me just to get to hang out with the dolphins! Here are some pictures from that day...

Trigger Update: Besides having fun getting new Halloween toys and place mats, Trigger has also been allowed on the bed a few times. The other night I had a pretty bad head ache, so I was just laying around and Trigger jumped up on the bed and just laid down right next to me! It was so sweet I couldn't kick him off so he actually behaved and stayed up there, but Tyler took these hilarious pictures of us! He looks like a giant!!

Sorry they are so blurry. Tyler took them, not me :) Alright guys, well thanks for reading! Can't wait for Tyler's parents to come next weekend!! They get here the 8th and will be here that whole week! Will have lots of pictures don't worry! :)
