On June 18, 2011, my best friend Amy Dowker got married to Zach Holcombe. I could not be happier for the two of them! I think they are a great couple and they do things right. I just smile every time I think about them!
Amy and I have a pretty funny relationship....we met in NC in youth group. We didn't really hang out though, because we had different groups of friends and didn't go to the same high school. We both ended up going to NC State, and I decided to try to come to Amy's bible study one night. She introduced me to her roommate Kara, and ever since then, we were best friends. There was a group of 6 of us that hung out all the time. We did everything together and it was awesome! As college continued Amy and I grew closer and she became the person I would go to if I was ever in distress...and I became that person for her too. I can't tell you how many times I heard "OHH SHOOT!!! MARIE!!! HELP!!!" haha. When she started a fire, when she would mess up her computer, when she mess up the washer or dryer...the list goes on and on. I will miss those calls from my crazy Amy!
Amy and I also had a constant battle of noise level. If you know Amy at all, her level of loud is on an entire different scale than everyone else. I was the old grandma of the bunch and always went to bed early. What would keep me awake? Oh just Amy watching a movie on volume 80, oh just Amy writing her paper (out loud!), oh Amy just talking on skype...hahaha. But I wouldn't have had it any other way.
Like I said, I can't believe Amy Dowker is now Amy Holcombe, but I could not be happier. It was such an honor to be in her wedding and it was an experience of a life time! I love her more than words can say! Here are a few pictures from the weekend.

These 5 other girls all played such a huge role in my life during college and my experience would not have been the same without them! Laura Ribero, Laura Carico, and Courtney Bailey...I love you all and can't wait to see everyone at my wedding in 2 weeks!!!
